Dr. J. Janet is a visionary leader with 29 years of experience in Engineering Education and administration. She has held senior academic positions at various reputed engineering institutions across the country. Her leadership is marked by fostering several industry-academia collaborations. She is a Senior IEEE member and UGC Autonomous Inspection Committee Member. She was also an Anna University Academic Council Member for 3 years (2017 to 2020). She is heading as the Principal of Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology.

- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering – Sathyabama University, 2006 (Specialization: Soft Computing and Knowledge-Based Systems)

- She has brought in Industry Integrated powered UG & PG Programmes in Engineering and Management.
- She was instrumental in Establishing Centers of Excellence with Industries like Virtusa, Dell EMC, Bentley, Capgemini, Aspire Systems, and more.
- Enabled Internships, training programs, and placement tie-ups with organizations like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, IBM, Salesforce, Virtusa, Accenture, and the like.
Research and Development
Dr. J. Janet has led and executed several research projects worth ₹2.83 crores from DST and AICTE. Mentored DST-funded research projects to the tune of ₹10 crores.
She is a recognized research supervisor with Anna University, MS University and has produced 11 Doctorates. She is presently guiding 2 Ph.D. Research Scholars.
She has also obtained Development grants from Government Funding agencies and Consultancy grants from Private Agencies.
