B.E. Computer Science and Engineering - Cyber Security

The Industry-Academia oriented curriculum emphasizes on the fundamental concepts of  Electronic Systems, Computer Networks, Data Structures, DBMS, Machine Learning, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Digital Forensics.

Practical exposure to the security tools like Network Security Monitoring Tools, Encryption Tools, Web Vulnerability Scanning Tools will equip the students with skills to defend Cyber attacks.

The AI research centre  and IoT research centre in association with Intel Fice trains and certifies the students that includes research activities in real time scenarios.

B.E. Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)

The programme accentuates the concepts based on Statistical Analysis, Mathematical Skills and Visualization Techniques along with Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques and  this enhances the problem solving skills. Students will be involved in group projects through the  programs offered by UC -Berkeley Micro Accelerator and Intel Fice addressing the real world problems which will further enhance the Technical, Communication and Leadership Skills.

The Artificial Intelligence Research Centre provides exploratory research platform for multidisciplinary research.

The Curriculum focuses on the Essentials of Biochemistry, Medical Instrumentation, Biostatistics, Clinical Trials, Nano biotechnology, Medical Ethics & Standards, Waste Management & Design on Medical Devices. The Research Centre for Plant Tissue Culture and Bioprocess Engineering provides a platform to analyze the isolated cells/tissues under the sterile and controlled conditions that inculcates independent learning.

The focus is to imbibe the concepts of Electric Circuits, Electrical Machines and Electronic Components and strengthen the fundamentals about renewable energy and automation. Research Centres like Siemens Integrated Engineering Design and Renewable Energy Technology are platforms for application and learning. The department has signed an MoU with Naresuan University, Thailand to explore the emerging trends and research opportunities in renewable energy resources through student exchange programs.

The objective of the programme is to educate the students in electronic circuits, networking, digital signal processing, VLSI design, Analog and digital communication. The department has a Hardware Security Research Centre where the students can enhance the problems solving skills in Cyber Security and Hardware Security research.

The Centre of Excellence in Robotics & Embedded Systems in Association with “e-YANTRA Lab Setup Initiative” (e-LSI), IIT,Bombay gives hands-on experience to design, develop, program and test Robots for different applications.

The curriculum focuses on  the processes involved in the Drug Manufacturing Technology, Pharmocogenomics, Enzyme Technology,Regulatory aspects related to Clinical research in Pharma and Herbal Technology.

The practical sessions enables the students to understand about the Classification of Drugs, Formulation, Process and Quality Control procedures involved in the manufacturing of different Pharmaceutical dosages.

Candidates seeking admission to B.E./ B.Tech. Degree Programmes should have either completed or should be appearing for, any one of the following examinations as on March 2023:

(I) 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any State Board, Central Board of higher Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). (II) The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi); National Institute of Open Schooling; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University; High School Certificate Examination of the University of Cambridge or equivalent.
(i)The candidates with a Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. /B.Tech. in the branch corresponding to the branch of study.
(ii) Graduates in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.Tech.
