AADHAVAN ENERGY SWARAJ CLUB
Climate Change is accelerating at a very fast pace, and therefore, the efforts need to be accelerated.
An awareness has to be given to the people about the climate change happening and also motivate them to take an action in
reducing the climate change . Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, IIT Bombay started Energy swaraj foundation. Energy Swaraj Foundation
is taking its actions “Energy by Locals for Locals”. This is not-for-profit organization, formed to establish energy swaraj
across the world. As a part of creating awareness, Energy Swaraj Yatra is started using Solar bus which is heart of Energy
Swaraj Movement planned to combine synergies of climate change mitigation efforts. The yatra is planned across the country
starting from November 2020 until December 2030, nearly 11 years long, to create Energy Swaraj as a public movement.
As a part of Energy swaraj yatra, Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki along with his team visited our campus on 21st April 2022.
Energy Swaraj Yatra Visit to the AVIT was on 21-04-2022 . Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, Professor IIT Bombay gave the guest lecture on “Sustainable Energy Towards Climate Change” emphasizing on the climatic changes and the responsibility of each individual in protecting the earth from temperature rise.
After the Visit of Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, Solar man of India, Aadhavan Energy swaraj club is inaugurated and initiated to spread the climatic change awareness among the students and faculty members of AVIT.
With the support of our beloved Principal, Dr.G.Selva kumar and Head of the EEE department Dr.L.Chitra, Aadhavan Energy swaraj Club is evolved at AVIT in the month of April.
