Dr. S. P. Sangeetha is a distinguished academic leader with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. She currently serves as Vice Principal (Academics) and Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, and as the Dean of Engineering and Technology at VMRF. She has been associated with AVIT since 2011, contributing extensively to various academic and administrative capacities. She is the Program Director of the Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Cell and Convener of the Women Empowerment Cell, actively promoting community engagement and inclusive development. Known for her strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, she has organized numerous national and international conferences, workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for students and faculty. She also leads skill development initiatives that support self-employment opportunities, particularly for rural women. Dr. Sangeetha is an active member of several professional bodies. She also maintains strong collaborations with construction industries and academic institutions.

Qualification and Research Interests
Dr. Sangeetha is a Civil Engineer with a specialization in Structural Engineering. Her research areas include Concrete Technology; Structural Design; Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures and Sustainable Construction Practices. She delivers expert lectures in academic institutions and industry forums. She has also authored textbooks and book chapters. Her scholarly record includes over 70 research publications in Scopus-indexed, Web of Science, and peer-reviewed journals. She also holds eight granted patents.

Awards and Recognitions
Dr. Sangeetha has received several awards in recognition of her academic leadership, teaching excellence, and social contributions. These include the Education Leadership Award (2022) from Glantor X Pvt. Ltd., the VMRF Women Leadership Award (2021), the Young Dynamic Woman Performer of the Year Award (2020) from Global Awards, and the Manitha Neyam Award (2020) from Alaigal Foundation for her services in villages during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also received the Academic Leadership Award (2021) from the International Glad Heads Up Awards, the South Indian Women Achiever Award (2019), the Best Teaching Faculty Award from DKIRF, the Recognition Faculty Award from the Rotary Club in 2019 and 2020, and the Best Faculty Coordinator Award in 2021,2022 &2023. She is a certified Lead Auditor recognized by Nature Science Foundations. She serves as a reviewer and in the editorial board for several journals and has been part of advisory and technical committees at national and international conferences. Additionally, she has served as a Subject Expert for the Student Learning Assessment Preparation (SLAP) initiative under AICTE and as an evaluator for Toycathon and Smart India Hackathon organized by the Government of India.
